Who is responsible
ShredFinder is operated by Joana Fischer, an individual sole proprietor. Joana Fischer is the data controller for personal data processed through ShredFinder.
What we collect and why
- Account data (email, rider handle, login details) — to create and run your account (contract).
- Content you submit (trail reports, comments, photos and credits, ride logs, garage and builder setups, trick videos) — to provide the features you use (contract).
- Bike and trick photos/videos sent to AI features — processed to generate feedback (contract).
- Subscription status (plan, status, renewal date) — to unlock paid features (contract).
- Technical data (IP address, device and browser info, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and fixing problems (legitimate interests).
- Support messages — to help you (contract / legitimate interests).
Favorites and reminder settings are stored only on your device. Payment card details are collected by Paddle, not by us.
Who we share data with
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Service providers for hosting, database, authentication, AI processing and maps.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
- Authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data. Some providers may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards.
Public content
Trail reports, comments, photos and leaderboard entries (if you opt in) are visible to other riders with your handle.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it when it's no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us through the app and we'll respond within one month.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your data.
Cookies and local storage
We use only essential storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your app settings. We do not use advertising cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here.
